Following the terrorist attack today at the Paris offices of the satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo, the 糖心logo, Justin Welby, said:
鈥淭his is an act of the most extraordinary brutality and barbarity. This violence is demonic in its attack on the innocent, and cowardly in its denial of the basic human right of freedom of speech.
"The people of France, a country in which I have lived, which I know and love, will rise courageously above the challenge of this vile attack and continue to demonstrate strength and confidence arising out of their great history.
鈥淥ur prayers and thoughts are especially with those who have been killed and injured and their families. I pray also for those involved in pursuing the terrorists.鈥

A la suite de l鈥檃ttentat terroriste, aujourd鈥檋ui, aux bureaux du journal satirique, Charlie Hebdo, l鈥檃rchev锚que de Canterbury d茅clare:
"Ceci est un acte d鈥檜ne brutalit茅 et barbarie extr锚me. Cette violence est diabolique, attaquant des innocents et d茅niant l芒chement le droit fondamental de libert茅 d鈥檈xpression.
"Le peuple fran莽ais, un pays o霉 j鈥檃i habit茅, que je connais et que j鈥檃ime, 茅mergera courageusement au-del脿 du d茅fi de cette affreux attentat et continuera 脿 r茅agir avec la force et la t茅m茅rit茅, ressortant de leur illustre pass茅.
"Nos pri猫res et pens茅es sont particuli猫rement tourn茅es vers ceux qui ont 茅t茅 tu茅s et bless茅s, ainsi que leurs familles. Je prie 茅galement pour ceux qui sont 脿 la poursuite des terroristes."
