Heritage Open Palace Experience Days 2025
Step inside history, reconnect with community, and experience the heart of Lambeth Palace.
To mark 10 years of opening our gardens for charitable fundraising, we are making 2025 a truly special year by inviting the public inside the working Palace. The Lambeth Palace Heritage Open Palace Experience (HOPE) Days offer a rare opportunity to explore the historic home of the Archbishops of Canterbury, a place of faith, hospitality, and service for over 800 years.
Explore the Hidden Treasures of the Palace
On these exclusive HOPE Days, visitors will enjoy self-guided tours through some of the Palace’s most historic and significant spaces, including:
The State Rooms – where generations of Archbishops have welcomed guests and dignitaries.
The Guard Room – one of our stunning historical halls dating back to the 14th century.
The Great Hall – built in 1663 by Archbishop William Juxon.
The Crypt Chapel – a sacred space for prayer and reflection.
More Than a Tour – A Mission of Hospitality and Giving
HOPE Days are not just an opportunity to explore the Palace—they are hosted by incredible charities and serve as a celebration of generosity, hospitality, and community. This is a chance to reconnect—with history, with one another, and with the mission at the heart of Lambeth Palace.
